The mission of TCF Foundation is to build endowed
funds
to ensure that The Compassionate Friends will always be
available for families following the death of a child.
TCF FOUNDATION CAMPAIGN
EXCEEDS GOAL!
The Compassionate Friends
and TCF Foundation are pleased to announce the success
of the 2007 Challenge Grant Campaign. By exceeding its
$250,000 campaign goal by the July 22 deadline, TCF
Foundation qualified for the full amount of the $250,000
matching grant offered in January, 2007, by a group of
anonymous donors. The campaign received a total of
$264,000 in donations and
pledges.
Campaign Chair Sue Snepp
said, “We are very grateful to the new donors and repeat
donors who were able to be a part of this extraordinary
campaign. These gifts are a true ‘legacy of love,’
ensuring that The Compassionate Friends will be
available to serve bereaved families in the future.”
TCF Foundation was
established in 2000 as a supportive organization for The
Compassionate Friends, Inc. The foundation’s board of
trustees oversees an endowment fund that makes annual
distributions to The Compassionate Friends from the
endowment’s earnings.
Phil Horsley,
newly-elected president of the foundation’s board of
trustees, said, “The support of TCF’s work that has been
expressed by our donors in this successful campaign is
heartwarming and bolsters the confidence of our members
that The Compassionate Friends will be here for
generations to come.”
